These ECWCS parkas and pants for the exterior layer of the military's Extended Cold Weather Clothing System. They are made from Hyvatt, a material similar to GORE-Tex, and have micropores to allow vapor from your perspiration exit while remaining wind, water and weather proof. This unique action allows the parka and pants to provide warmth over a range of temperature conditions and exertion levels.
The result is a surprisingly light weight jacket that is excellent for keeping you warm, especially when layered with other pieces of the ECWCS system.
All our ECWCS parkas are the newer, second generation design which features a new hood designed to be worn over the PASGT helmet. This hood is preferred for combat, both close quarter and longer range engagements.
This model is made in the army's ACU digital camo pattern, but the same parka and pants are available below in other colors and patterns.
