For those who demand high performance from their tactical boots, we are proud to offer the Altama line of EXOspeed tactical boots. These boots combine the best traits of the athletic shoes and trail running boots with the high-performance and durability of an Altama combat boot. The end result is a lightweight boot that provides superior support, breathability and comfort.
From the ground up, the boot starts with a tactical-lug outsole that is slip-resistant, oil and acid-resistant, and non marking. In addition to an arch support shield, the sole is designed with flex grooves for ease of movement. Inside, the foundation of the boot is a running chassis that is closer to a running shoe than a combat boot, a triple-density midsole, and an anatomically molded removable innersoles with shock pads. This combinations cradles and cushions your foot during any physical activity.
The leather and mesh upper is lined with a dual zone liner that wicks away moisture and is breathable, allowing perspiration to move away from your boot and through the boot to be expelled outside. On the exterior of the upper, you can see the exoskeleton that gave these boots their name. This exoskeleton, along with the molded ankle stabilizer, provides excellent structural support for your foot and ankle on terrain from the forest floor to the city street. The upper is finished off with a non-metallic eyelet lacing system.
This boot is available in three levels. The basic EXOspeed boot, as described above, is available in black leather or desert suede. The Sidezip EXO speed boot has a self-locking zipper with a secure hook and loop tab for easy on and off. The top of the line is the Waterproof EXO speed boot which includes a Sympatex waterproof and blood-borne pathogen-proof lining, which makes it an excellent choice for EMTs, medics and others who may be exposed to bodily fluids. These latter two boots are available only in black. Currently available only in sizes 7 to 13, in regular and wide widths.
